General Care
Cleaning Tools
Porcelain and Ceramic tiles can be cleaned using a broom, vacuum, microfiber cloth and dust, jet, steam or standard mop. Glass tiles can be cleaned using a microfiber cloth or sponge.
Stain Removal
Remove stains from Porcelain and Ceramic tiles with a deep penetrating cleaner and a sponge specifically indicated for tile use. For best results, remove any spills or stains as quickly as possible to avoid staining.
Shower Products
Easily protect and maintain Porcelain, Ceramic, and Glass tiles in the shower by a using either an all-purpose or heavy duty acidic cleaner. For soap scum, use a cleaner that specifically targets shower build up.
Inorganic stains are caused by soda, grout haze, soap scum, water spots, drywall, limescale and plaster residue, rust, concrete, wall paint and construction dirt. To remove inorganic stains, use an acidic cleaner.
Organic stains are caused by ammonia, grease, oil, wine, beer, epoxy, urethane and pre-mixed grout stains, tire marks, thinset, adhesive tape, marker and rubber cup marks. To remove organic stains, use an alkaline cleaner.
Recommended Cleaner
Regular cleaning with warm water and mild soap or a gentle every day cleaner are great ways to maintain your Porcelain or Ceramic tile. The right tile cleaner should lift away dust, dirt, or grime from the floor and wall tile without leaving a residue and will be formulated specifically for your tile type.
Glass tiles can be cleaned using a specially formulated glass cleaner with a microfiber cloth or non-abrasive sponge.
Mold & Mildew
Porcelain and Ceramic tiles naturally resist mold and mildew due to their low porosity. For additional assistance treating mold or mildew select a specially formulated cleaner that targets this issue and is suitable for your tile type and finish.
Pro Tip
It is recommended that cleaners and treatments are tested in a small, isolated area to ensure desired results.
Grout Maintenance
Sealing Grout
Sealing your cementitious grout helps maintain the look and prevents mildew and mold. Sealing is optional for pre-mixed and hybrid grout. When selecting a grout sealer, choose one that is formulated specifically for your grout and tile type.
Grout Cleaning
Grout requires extra care when it’s been stained with food, grease, scum, and other forms of buildup. When used with a grout sponge or brush, the right grout cleaner should help remove any unwanted buildup.
Grout Refresh
If your grout still isn’t the desired color, you can refresh it! A sponge, grout stain applicator, a clean cloth, along with a grout refresh product, and our five-step guide are all you need to quickly make your grout look new.
