We do not recommend bleaching tile as it can negatively impact the tile’s surface and appearance. Click here to view our Tile Care and Maintenance Guide.

Due to their size and weight, XL slabs are not recommended to be installed over drywall. The use of a backer board such as Durock Cement Board, Hardiebacker Cement Board, or Kerdi Board is recommended to provide a solid surface to install XL Slabs.

Floor suitability rating is a guide to assist with selecting the appropriate tile for your installation location. The Floor Suitability Rating is comparable to PEI (Surface Wear Classification) when considering the durability of your tile. Please review the following rating details and the corresponding installation location while selecting your dream tile:

Light Residential: Suitable for wall applications or areas with light foot traffic such as powder rooms or guest rooms.

  • Comparable to PEI 1 & 2

All Residential / Light Commercial: Suitable for use in regularly trafficked residential areas such as kitchens, hallways, bedrooms, and laundry rooms. Light commercial areas with limited traffic, such as offices and retail shops, are acceptable.

  • Comparable to PEI 3

All Residential / All Commercial: Suitable for use in heavily trafficked residential and commercial areas, such as foyers, living rooms, lobbies, hospitals, and airports.

  • Comparable to PEI 4 & 5

Once the cabinets have been properly prepped, tiles are suitable to be used for countertop applications with proper installation and maintenance. We recommend partnering with a local licensed professional that is familiar with this installation type to ensure proper installation and installation materials.

We do not recommend installing tiles without grout lines & spacers. The suggested grout line size for your tile can be found on the product page in the specification chart. Paver tiles are the only products suitable to be installed without grout, depending on the selected installation type. We always recommend partnering with a local licensed professional to ensure proper installation and installation materials.

This is dependent on the specific tile used as not all tiles are suitable for garage floor installation. Since every application and installation is different, we strongly recommend consulting an installer who has experience with this type of installation, who is properly licensed and insured, and will provide a suitable warranty to cover your application. Your installer should verify the conditions and application meet local requirements or industry expectations. Any installation guidelines are not intended to supersede federal, state, or local regulations which may require modifying the existing installation, materials, or structural components. The customer assumes responsibility for compliance with all building codes.

We do not recommend applying a gloss sealer to flooring as it can affect the slip resistance.

The difference between ceramic and porcelain is in the raw materials, production process and technical characteristics. Porcelain is made with slightly different raw materials, which allows for the tile to be pressed at a higher pressure than normal ceramic tiles. This added pressure allows porcelain tile to be slightly denser and more durable. Ceramic tiles are not pressed at as high of pressure but are still very durable and can be used anywhere throughout your home. Once it has been pressed, it is cooked at temperatures over 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit in the kiln (oven) which gives tile its hard packed and durable body. Due to these characteristics’ porcelain is waterproof and can be installed anywhere in your home or business, even outdoors! Ceramics are water resistant, but not recommended for outdoor or heavy commercial applications.

We do not recommend installing tile inside fireplaces or areas with direct flames/heat exposure. This could cause the tile to be more susceptible to cracking and may lead to discoloration over time. It's important to check local building codes for approval before installing tile on the hearth of a fireplace. We always recommend partnering with your local licensed professional to ensure all national and local building codes are being adhered to and ensure the correct installation materials are being chosen for such applications.

Wall tiles are exactly like the name suggests – tiles specifically designed for wall installation. Wall tiles are an incredible choice for any wall project, from showers to backsplashes and even accent walls. to see the full range of exciting graphics, sizes, and unique dimensional finishes.

Not all tiles can be used in pools. To confirm whether your selected tile is suitable for pool use, please check the specification chart on the product page to see a list of the approved uses. The chart will list if the product is approved for a pool deck or submerged/interior use in a pool. If the product will be exposed to or submerged in water containing chemicals, like chlorine, please check for pool submerged/interior use suitability. Every application and installation is different, therefore it is strongly recommended to consult a licensed installer/contractor for more details and to verify the conditions and application meet local codes, requirements, and industry expectations.

Enhanced realism provides a magnified view of a product's surface appearance using technology-driven enhancements in glazing and print quality to recreate the look and feel of natural materials while providing the durability of porcelain tile. This process can display the textured look and keen details directly within the top layer of your tile’s material. Due to differences in surface types, enhanced realism leverages unique looks that distinguish various types of flooring texture. Examples of this include distinctive veining, a natural wood look, and others.  

  • Enhanced ink jet application: adds additional depth and realism to tile. Ink jet applications express detailed colors that often appear in the veining of a tile's surface.  

  • Enhanced glazed application: gives the tile texture and depth using the highest-quality printing technique in the industry. This process provides a realistic look to the surface of the tile that aligns with the printed graphic. Glaze applications can also clearly convey a polished or matte finish to a tile's surface.  

The enhanced realism process includes touchable textures, realistic veining and color variation to capture the tile's essence of natural material. 

Polished and High Gloss are both terms to indicate that a product has a gloss finish.  

Polished Finish: This is a mechanical process, the tile is passed through a succession of polishing pads that mechanically buff the surface of the tile to create a high-sheen finish, ultimately resulting in a smooth and shiny appearance with a rectified edge.  

High Gloss: The tile’s surface is coated with glaze prior to entering the kiln to be fired and is usually a process reserved for ceramic materials. The finished product results in a smooth and shiny appearance with a rectified or pressed edge.

Yes, any matte porcelain or natural stone paver tiles are a great option for an outdoor space. Click here to view our selection of outdoor pavers.

Porcelain, ceramic, and wall tile are all stain-resistant. If selecting a natural stone material, sealers offer many benefits, including stain resistance! Be sure to select a specially formulated sealer that is approved for use on your type of tile material and aids in stain resistance. Follow all manufacturer guidelines and installation instructions for best results.

We do not recommend painting floor tile as it can create blemishes and bubbles if used in high-traffic areas.

Inkjet technology is the highest quality printing technique in the industry. Inkjet technology delivers high contrast and edge-to-edge design for exceptional realism.

Sealer isn’t required for porcelain or ceramic tile. For other tile types, we recommend sealing tile routinely every 12-18 months.

Note: Sealers vary based on their formula's performance which can alter the recommended application schedule. Please refer to the manufacturer guidelines and installation instructions for more details.

STONE: Natural stone tile colors permeate through to the bottom of the tile. The surface of the tile will have a polished, matte, or honed finish while the bottom and sides remain unfinished.  

TILE: Porcelain and ceramic are manmade materials, and the color will not always permeate throughout the body of the tile. However, the back color of the tile may vary. Tiles may be a through, standard, color, or double-loaded body. The bottom and sides of porcelain and ceramic tiles will remain unfinished.  

Quarry tile is an unglazed tile that is specifically produced for commercial applications including commercial kitchens, food prep areas, etc. This is a great option for commercial spaces due to its durability, slip resistance, water absorption, color options, and frost resistance. Saltillo is a terracotta tile that is produced in Saltillo, Mexico. This unique and highly sought-after terracotta look tile has a beautiful color variation. Because of how it is manufactured, Saltillo tile is suitable for installation anywhere inside your home. Floor & Decor carries both unsealed and sealed Saltillo in multiple shapes and sizes.

When looking to use tile outdoors some of the top features to consider are weather resistance, water resistance/waterproof, porosity, durability, fade resistance, heat resistance/transfer, etc. We recommend porcelain, quartzite, marble, and other stone tiles for use outdoors. To confirm whether your selected tile can be used outdoors, please check the specification chart on the product page to see a list of the approved uses. We recommend consulting with your installer for more advice on what works for your project. If you need further assistance during product selection, please reach out to us via Customer Care.

We typically refer to all porcelain tiles as "waterproof" because water will not have a significant impact on the top of the tile or on the body of the tile. Porcelain tiles can be installed indoors or outdoors. Due to the slightly different production process for ceramic tiles, we refer to all ceramics as water resistant. Even though ceramic tile will not be damaged by water, they might have some water absorption. For indoor installations, porcelain and ceramic tiles will be great for any normal wet environment, like a bathroom or shower wall. For outdoor installations, we recommend porcelain tile. If you have additional questions concerning possible installation locations for your tile project, please reach out to our Customer Care Center or a store associate and we would be happy to help. Please note that industry standards may require additional installation materials for interior or exterior installations of tile and we recommend consulting.

Engineered stone is altered by a man-made process to create the desired end result for use. Natural stone has beautiful random veining and is simply cut and altered for sizing and final use.

Shipping & Delivery

Shipping charges are based on the weight of the order and the distance from the warehouse to the shipping location. Shipping can be estimated from the product page, and final shipping charges can be seen during the checkout process.

Due to the heavy weight and fragile nature of our products, we are unable to expedite shipments.

Estimated delivery dates are provided during checkout. You can check your order status online by clicking here. Please enter your order confirmation number and email address in the space provided. You can also track your item by clicking on the tracking number in the Shipping Confirmation e-mail that is sent once your item ships.

Tracking messages are updated once the product is shipped. If you do not have tracking information after 2 days of order purchase.

Due to the heavy weight and fragile nature of our products, most deliveries will be made with a semi-truck. If you live in an area that is not accessible to a semi-truck (steep and/or gravel driveway, cul-de-sac, gated neighborhood, low hanging trees, limited space for driver to park semi-truck, etc.)

Currently My Luxury Flooring only ships to the United States. We do not ship to any other locations. International Shipments can be subject to additional brokerage fees, duty fees, and taxes, which are to paid by the customer.

Storage & Pickup

At the top right corner of the website, you can click the store location tab to confirm your neighborhood My Luxury Flooring. Once that has been confirmed, simply find the product you’re interested in. From the product page, it’ll inform you if the item is available for pickup at your preferred location!

Customers must provide three (3) items of verification at the time of pick up. You must provide your online sales receipt, a picture ID, and the purchasing credit card you used to make your purchase online.

The customer must authorize someone other than the customer, such as a contractor or delivery service, to pick up merchandise. Authorization must be given at the time of purchase, and the customer should provide the pick-up person's information to the store fulfilling the order. Anyone not on this list, regardless of possession of original receipt, wishing to obtain your merchandise must first be validated (in person) by the customer.

The person(s) authorized to pick up materials must have a government-issued photo I.D. for verification.

My Luxury Flooring offers up to 7 days of free storage, starting from the purchase date. Customers can pick up the product at any point within the first week during warehouse business hours.

It is not required but strongly recommended for a countertop pick up that you bring the proper transportation equipment such as an A-frame to load and secure the countertop safely. An A-frame helps ensure that the movement of the countertop is kept to a minimum when properly secured to help prevent potential damage. If you do not have an A-frame, a waiver will need to be signed.

MAKE SURE TO INSPECT ALL MERCHANDISE AT THE TIME OF PICK UP. It is the customer's responsibility to inspect and verify the type of merchandise purchased, quantity, model number, color, dye lots for porcelain and ceramic products, and verify all labels on wood product to ensure accuracy before leaving the store. Any discrepancies between the customer's inspection and the purchased merchandise, as reflected upon the sales receipt, must be determined before leaving the premises, and a manager must be notified. By signing your receipt at the time of pick-up, your signature will constitute your agreement that your order has been received in FULL and that it is ACCURATE. Once you have left the premises, no exceptions will be made.

To allow someone other than yourself to pick up merchandise (like a contractor or delivery service), you must authorize Floor & Decor to release your merchandise by entering the pickup person’s information at checkout. My Luxury Flooring is pleased to offer up to 7 days of free storage from the date of purchase. A storage fee of $10 per day after the first 7 days will be applied to any order that has not been completely picked up. Any applicable storage fees must be paid in full before materials will be released.

Returns & Cancellations

Yes, within 15 days you can return any product to a store location if you purchased online.

Once a product has been installed, it cannot be returned. My Luxury Flooring is not responsible for product defect or damage, property damage or lost labor costs due to faulty installation. Claims for damage or shortages must be made upon receipt of the product. Thoroughly inspect all products before installation as use will constitute acceptance. Installed flooring is considered the property of the owner/installer and cannot be exchanged or returned for any reason.

If you are not completely satisfied with your online purchase, simply return the merchandise to any My Luxury Flooring within 30 days of purchase with a valid sales receipt, and we will refund your purchase. If you do not have a receipt, a valid photo ID is required. Information from the ID will be recorded at the time of the return and retained in a company-wide database of customer return activity that we use to authorize returns and prevent fraud. We reserve the right to limit returns or exchanges without a valid receipt. Click here view our return policy.

Yes, absolutely! If you need to modify an online order you can do so by contacting our Customer Care specialists at support@myluxuryflooring.com. However, if the order you wish to modify was purchased in store you will need to visit that location with your order information.

Orders canceled prior to shipping can be canceled. If you decide to cancel an order, please call our customer care specialists immediately at support@myluxuryflooring.com. Once an order has been loaded and is in route to the shipping address, My Luxury Flooring will charge all applicable shipping fees as part of the return. The customer is solely responsible for all outgoing and return shipping costs.

No! Our design consultation services are completely FREE of charge.

We spend your design appointment going over your style, space, and budget to get a full understanding of your project, so the initial design appointment can typically be up to an hour long.

Before you come in take photos of your home, bring measurements of your space, and define your budget and timeframe. To identify your style, you can bring magazine clippings, fabric samples, paint swatches, photos, or anything else that inspires you. We’ll do the rest to bring the design together!

ur designers are ready to help with everything from small updates to full house remodels! We partner with you to review your inspiration, style, and space. We work within your expectations and limitations, all while showing you the possibilities available to you for your lifestyle and budget. With this, we’ll be recommending both product and installation materials.
